Special Business Rate (SBR) City Centre / Darby Street

Before completing this application, you should have read the Special Business Rate Expenditure Policy, 2025 Special Business Rate Guidelines and the Newcastle 2040 Community Strategic Plan.

The Special Business Rate (SBR) means the special business rate levy paid by businesses within the SBR Precincts to City of Newcastle (CN). This SBR Program calls for Expressions of Interest (EOI)  to enter into Service Agreements with Businesses and Not-For-Profit Organisations for the purpose of promotion, beautification and development of the SBR precinct of City Centre / Darby Street.

$4,000 minimum
